These are decent ratings, especially for a V6 engine of that strength and size, but keep in mind that the Maxima was designed with performance rather than efficiency in mind. Nissan made some slight changes to the design of the Maxima, giving it a new grille, taillights, and aluminum alloy wheels. The wavy design of the Maxima holds up well, with a welcome hint of aggression when compared to other sedans. 18-inch wheels are standard and the Sport Package will get you 19 inch wheels. A Limited Edition Package will get you a dark hyper sliver finish for your wheels, a dark finish sport grille, smoked HID xenon headlights, fog lights, a rear spoiler, and metallic trim.

The front seats are good in base versions, but with the Sport Package you get superior seats with stronger bolsters. The back seat is officially good for three, but it’s really just good for two adults and headroom can be a bit tight compared to other sedans this size the cost of the roofline, even though seat contouring is great.
