2013 Lexus RX sport - The popular Lexus RX sport utility gets a fresh new face for its 2013 version, featuring new LED headlights, revised bumpers and of course, the spindle grille. It is the best Lexus could do to alter the looks of the RX, making it less boring, without changing a design that is working rather well for them. The 2013 Lexus RX pricing starts at $39,310. For that you get an RX350 FWD (that’s front-wheel-drive) model, which is no good. You are far better off spending $40,710 and get the AWD (all-wheel-drive) version. If you want the best RX available then go for the F-Sport version, which will set you back $47,000, but looks a helluva lot better than normal models.
Lexus released two new commercials for its new RX F Sport model as it’s gearing up for its market launch. The F Sport is based on the 2013 RX Facelift, which to tell you the truth is not an extreme makeover over the previous version. It gets a spindle grille, new LEDs, and that’s about it. Still, Lexus boasts how they turned the page by making the new model, and how they don’t let trophies and awards hold them back. The F Sport package for the 2013 Lexus RX consists of 19-inch alloys in special color, unique sport front bumper with mesh grille, Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM), F sport suspension, F Sport steering wheel, black leather-trimmed seats with white contrast stitching, black headliner, and aluminum pedals and footrest.
If you are the eco-minded type, Lexus offers the RX450h hybrid, in both FWD and AWD formats, priced at $45,910 and $47,310 respectively. Available in All-Wheel Drive (AWD), the Lexus RX 350 F Sport features an eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, F Sport-tuned suspension, unique sport front bumper and mesh grille, 19-inch split five-spoke wheels in a Dark Graphite finish, and exclusive interior enhancements. It features a 3.5-liter V6 engine with an eight-speed Electronically Controlled Transmission with intelligence (ECT-i) for an output of 270 horsepower.
RX 450h versions are equipped with a new Hybrid System Indicator design featuring clearly delineated, Charge, Eco and Power zones. New ambient illumination changes according to both driving conditions and the selected drive mode. In EV (electric only), Eco or Normal drive modes, when the Hybrid System Indicator needle is in the Charge or Eco zones, the ambient illumination is blue. It will extinguish if the needle enters the Power zone. In Sport mode, the ambient illumination remains red at all times. All prices listed above exclude the Delivery, Processing, and Handling fee, which is about $900.
