Anyway, here is the all-but-totally-production-ready 4-series coupe that will go on sale next year. Low and wide and long, the 4-series follows in the stretched-out footprint of its kin, the 640i Gran Coupe. It rides on a 110.6-inch wheelbase, up nearly two inches from that of the outgoing 3-series coupe. The 4-series also has bulked-up by almost two inches in width. At 182.7 inches, the 4-series is longer than the model it replaces and its roof is about half an inch lower. This gives the 4-series concept a low, menacing stance.

2014 BMW 4 Series Coupe Interior :
As the two-door counterpart to the 3, the new 4 Series model will retain the style of its 3 Series Coupe predecessor, with the same long bonnet, swooping glasshouse and short rear deck that has made the model popular. The 4 Coupe also remains loyal to the style of the 3 Sedan, featuring the same connected grille and headlights design but adding a few tweaks of its own. In concept form, the The 4 Coupe is larger than its predecessor, measuring nearly 30mm longer and 44mm wider, while sitting on a 50mm longer wheelbase.
2014 BMW 4 Series Coupe Exterior :
Despite filming at 2:00 AM and at an undisclosed location, BMW minders filming a commercial for the fast-approaching 4 Series coupe were unable to ward off the long lenses of spy photographers. The result, as you can see here, is our first-ever look at the production version of BMW’s new coupe, completely uncovered.
The night shots may be a little bit grainy, but the fast-moving 4 Series still looks pretty good with its camo closeted, matching the svelte lines of the concept car we saw in Detroit this winter. Expect that the 4 coupe will come to market with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder in 428i trim, and a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder in 435i spec.
2014 BMW 4 Series Coupe Engine :
BMW isn’t offering any tips on powertrains, but it is likely that we can expect most of the 3 Series Sedan’s turbocharged four-cylinder options and a top-shelf 435i six-cylinder model. An M4-badged hero should also replace the current M3 Coupe, driven by a twin-turbo six-cylinder engine that would replace the current 309kW V8 engine.
At launch, the model is expected to be offered with two different engines – a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder with 245 HP (180 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque as well as a 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline-six with 306 HP (225 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. The engines will be connected to a six-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed automatic gearbox. Rear-wheel drive will be standard, but all-wheel drive could be optional.
