The Tremor does do a decent job looking the part. Available only in short-wheelbase, regular cab configuration with your choice of two- or four-wheel drive, it struts around wearing the F-150’s FX Appearance Package, flat black accents, 20-inch black wheels, HID headlights and a special exterior graphics package. The Tremor is the only regular cab F-150 with a flow-through center console, which means it also gets a floor-mounted shifter and bucket seats that are covered in black leather with red piping. Some brushed metal accents and steering wheel with red stitching round out the interior upgrades.

The short-wheelbase, regular-cab Tremor goes on sale this fall delivering distinctive looks and performance. The all-new truck couples the style of the FX Appearance Package with an EcoBoost engine and a launch-optimized 4.10 rear axle the shortest final drive ratio offered in an EcoBoost F-150 helping provide customers with fast acceleration. Tremor signals its sport truck capabilities with a custom-inspired FX Appearance Package featuring stealthy, flat-black accents that include unique 20-inch flat-black wheels, stylized bodyside graphics and black badges with red lettering.

Tremor is the only regular-cab F-150 offering a flow-through center console and bucket seats. Interior touches include black leather seating surfaces with red piping, brushed-metal accents and a red-stitched steering wheel. Alcantara seat inserts add texture and style as well.

2014 Ford F150 Price :
Meanwhile some rumors told that 2014 Ford F150 release date will be in late this year. Pricing was not announced. The 2013 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, one of the most expensive trucks in the F-150 lineup, starts at $44,915, including a $995 destination charge. We promise that we will update soon after Ford announces 2014 Ford F150 release date.

2014 Ford F150 Interior :
Interior upgrades include Brick Red seat bolsters with black inserts and cloth honeycomb highlights, console top finish panel, and center stack and door panel appliqué accents. The special edition is also available in Tuxedo Black Metallic.

The name Tremor’s been applied to Ford trucks and SUVs in the past. In the 1990s, the Tremor was an Explorer-based concept sport-utility vehicle. Then, during the 2000s, the Ford Ranger spun off a Tremor edition, with a high-powered 485-watt audio system.

New 2014 Ford F-150 will definitely get the extension of the standard equipment. What will come as standard, and what as an option, we do not know yet. However, some additional options that are not mentioned here, and certainly will be offered are: heated steering wheel, power tilt / telescoping steering column, and perhaps a Blu-ray high definition DVD rear-seat entertainment system for top SuperCrew models.

The 2014 F-150 Tremor isn’t related to either of those and it’s no Lightning successor either, despite the presence of Ford’s 365-horsepower, twin-turbocharged, 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6. The Lightning was a limited-run truck sold under the old SVT banner, while this truck is more akin to the Explorer Sport or Mustang GT, with turbo-six power substituting for the traditional V-8.

The first “sport” truck to get the powertrain, according to Ford, the Tremor is configured with the F-150’s regular-cab body style, with a 126-inch wheelbase and the shorter pickup bed. Both rear- and four-wheel-drive versions are offered. The Tremor weighs in at about 5,000 pounds, and comes with a 4.10 rear axle and an electronically controlled locking rear differential, for maximum power extraction from the EcoBoost V-6, Ford says.

2014 Ford F150 Exterior :
On the exterior of the 2014 SVT Raptor Special Edition, you start off with all of the base Raptor’s equipment, plus all that the Raptor Luxury Package adds in, which includes only HID headlights. The only real outward difference between this and the base model Raptor with the Luxury Package is a new color Ruby Red Metallic and the new decals down the side of the bed. You can also opt for the already-available Tuxedo Black Metallic exterior hue.

2014 Ford F150 Engine :
Ford’s universally popular F-150 SVT Raptor now has a little brother in the form of the all-new 2014 F-150 Tremor. The newcomer is the Ford Motor Company’s [NYSE:F] first EcoBoost-powered F-150 with the short-wheelbase, regular-cab design, and is aimed at buyers looking for a potent sport truck with decent fuel economy.

Under the hood is the familiar 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6, which combines direct injection, variable cam timing and turbocharging technologies to help deliver 365 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. Our favorite attribute is the torque band: 90 percent of peak torque is available from 1,700 to 5,000 rpm.

Fuel economy is said to be 16/22 mpg city/highway, for the rear-wheel-drive model. Opting for four-wheel drive will diminish those figures slightly. The engine is paired with a six-speed automatic and a launch-optimized 4.10 rear axle the shortest final drive ratio offered in an EcoBoosted F-150. An electronic rear differential is also fitted as standard.

The Tremor packs big power into a regular-cab, full-size pickup package. Unlike those vehicles, however, that power doesn’t come from a V-8 engine. Instead, the 2014 F-150 Tremor is powered by Ford’s twin-turbocharged, 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6. Although no Tremor-specific modifications have been performed, the EcoBoost V-6 still cranks out a healthy 365 horsepower at 5000 rpm, along with 420 lb-ft of torque at 2500 rpm. Ford brags 90 percent of that peak torque is delivered between 1700-5000 rpm, meaning it should be plenty easy to light the rear tires up. A six-speed automatic transmission is standard, as is a locking rear differential with a 4.10:1 ratio.

The F-150 SVT Raptor will only be offered with a 6.2-liter V8 engine, which offers 434lb-ft of torque and 411 horses under the hood. There’s also a 6-speed auto transmission that is accompanied by a tow and haul mode, as well as SelectShift Automatic technology. The truck is 4-wheel-drive and boasts electronic shifting. Because it is a 4WD model, it will also feature a Torsen limited-slip differential.
