Rolls-Royce Motor Cars announced the launch of Rolls-Royce Ghost V-Specification; a limited series of Ghost and Ghost Extended Wheelbase motor cars that will be available for customers to commission from January to June 2014.
“This limited series celebrates one of Ghost’s defining characteristics; the exquisite 6.6 litre Rolls-Royce V12 engine,” said Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Chief Executive, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. “Since its introduction in 2009, an extraordinary marriage of assured presence and remarkable driving dynamics has endeared Ghost to a new generation of highly discerning businessmen and women, ensuring the car’s position as the statement of choice for a growing band of successful entrepreneurs around the world.”
The new Rolls Royce Ghost V-Specification will be available for order only between January and June of 2014, and along with the power upgrades, it will also offer some exterior and interior updates. The model is priced at €330,820 — about $450,000 at the current exchange rates.
The Ghost V-Specification is available in five exclusive colors — Graphite, Black Sapphire, Black Kirsch, Arctic White and Infinity Black — on top of the other colors offered for the Ghost lineup.
The new Ghost V-Specification will also feature a hand-painted coachline, which artfully incorporates the V-Specification motif.
The Ghost V-Specification rides on 21-inch part-polished wheels that offer the car a bold and powerful stance.
The interior will be updated with special V-Specification logo embroidered into the rear armrest and inlaid in stainless steel on the veneer that houses the entertainment system. Other updates include contrast piping and stitching, and a custom-made clock face.
The Ghost V-Specification is powered by a 6.6-liter, twin-turbo V-12 engine that delivers a total of 593 horsepower — an increase of 30 horsepower over the base 563 horsepower. Unfortunately, this added power does not lower the Ghost’s 0-to-60 mph time any, as it remains at 4.7 seconds.
